A local authority wanted to understand their obligations in case they needed to take over private utility services for an industrial park. They also sought a business case, as to how that infrastructure could support the wider community.
The infrastructure did not meet any of Council Engineering Standards and presented potential health risks. Good Earth Matters prepared an intervention strategy and developed the business case for bringing the infrastructure up to an acceptable standard as well as to integrate and optimise the services into a wider development structure plan to align the industrial park in to future growth areas and nearby urban infrastructure.
Council was able to make an informed decision as to whether and how they could take over the infrastructure.
